Corentin Tolisso – Lyon

It is being reported by L’Equipe, that the Frenchman is one of the players that Chelsea are pursuing this summer. Lyon are in talks over Bertrand Traore and the Blues have asked about Tolisso in return. The midfielder was believed to be on his way to Arsenal, but their failure to qualify for the Champions League has cast doubts over that move.

The Frenchman is an energetic box-to-box midfielder that would be perfectly suited to Chelsea’s style and offer good competition for the two centre midfield positions. He is an intelligent passer and has a knack of making late runs into the area to offer a goal threat. This season, he has contributed eight goals and five assists, which is why he has caught the eye. His defensive contribution will need to improve to thrive in a Conte’s system, but he is only 22 and his potential is the reason the Blues will want him this summer.
