Kalidou Koulibaly – Napoli

The Napoli centre-back was one seemingly of the club’s priority targets after appointing Antonio Conte last summer, with Sky Sports suggesting the club offered up to £58 million for his services, and he could be on their radar again this summer.

Virgil van Dijk has been heavily linked, by the Daily Mail, but he will carry a high price and the competition for his signature complicates a deal. It could be better for Chelsea to switch their attentions to the 25-year-old that has had another impressive season in Serie A.

He has the physicality to thrive in the Premier League, with his pace and power making him a difficult opponent for any striker. Koulibaly ended the season with a pass accuracy of 89.4%, which underlines how he is comfortable in possession and able to launch attacks from deep. The 25-year-old would be a great fit for the left-sided central role in Chelsea’s back-three.
