Mario Gotze (Germany)
The talented German attacking midfielder will be keenly watched this summer amid the transfer saga surrounding whether he will stay at Bayern or move on to the likes of Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool.
No matter where he plays next season, Gotze will be looking to impress either Carlo Ancelotti, Klopp or whoever else may be watching him closely, and there’s no better place to do it than a major European tournament.
Gotze is one of the finest young attacking talents in the continent, with not only a great eye for picking out his team mates but a strong shot on him too. Let’s not forget he was the man that sealed Germany’s World Cup victory over Argentina two years ago.
Disappointingly we won’t get to see Gotze link up with good friend and former Borussia Dortmund
teammate Marco Reus, but he will still be one to watch when he gets his chance.
Julian Weigl (Germany)
The 20 year old midfielder has been a revelation for Borussia Dortmund this season and has been rewarded with a place in Joachim Low’s 23 man squad.
Forming a formidable partnership with Ilkay Gundogan at the heart of Dortmund’s midfield, Weigl has impressed with his defensive ability, composure and passing skills this term.
It remains to be seen whether he will get a regular run in Low’s starting XI, but if he does, he will be keenly watched.
