Robert Lewandowski (Poland)

With the possible exception of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Robert Lewandowski is arguably the best striker heading to France for Euro 2016, making him an invaluable asset to his country.

The Polish forward has enjoyed an incredible domestic season, finishing as top scorer for Bayern
Munich in the Bundesliga. Both he, his teammates and the Polish fans will be hoping he can continue that rich vein of form into Poland’s Euro assault.

Lewandowski will undoubtedly be a threat to all of Poland’s opponents and may come in handy against group rivals Germany, as Lewandowski will be coming up against many club team mates so should know how they play.

Steven Davis (Northern Ireland)

Northern Ireland had an incredible qualifying campaign for the 2016 European Championships, and nobody was more inspirational to them reaching their first ever major competition than the skipper Steven Davis.

Enjoying a very strong season as part of Ronald Koeman’s Southampton side, the central midfielder is likely to be one of the key players for Northern Ireland as they look to make it out of the group stages.

Davis is a danger from set pieces, especially free kicks, meaning Northern Ireland will be looking to capitalise on as many dead ball situations as they can with Davis’ ability.

Davis could make the difference for his country, not just with his on field ability but, with his leadership qualities as captain too.
