Rui Patricio – Sporting Lisbon

It’s hard to believe that Portugal’s number 1 goalkeeper is just 28-years-old, as he has been around for a good number of years, and his performances for his nation this summer proved what a good player he is.

Rui Patricio currently plays for Sporting CP, and has done so since 2006, having progressed through their junior ranks, so has been connected with the club since the year 2000.

This will undoubtedly have an impact on his transfer situation, and it is unknown whether the Portuguese would be open to a move, should the opportunity arise, but his eye catching performances in the EUROs proved how talented he is, and he, without question, helped his country Portugal on the way to lifting the trophy.

With all due respect to Sporting Clube de Portugal, Patricio is capable of playing for a bigger, more successful and more famous club than the Portuguese outift.
