Remember when Sir Alex signed Jones from Blackburn and said he will be the future captain of the club? Well that has not really gone to plan.

The formidable partnership between Jones and Smalling, every England and Man United fan was hoping for, has not come to fruition.

Injuries have sent Jones’  progress almost backwards since signing, now 24-years-old, even when he has played, he has not looked like a stable centre half and it may be time to part ways.
