One of Louis Van Gaal’s best signings, Daley Blind has been a life saver for Manchester United over the past two years. His versatility as a left-back, centre-back and midfielder has given a side with constant injury concerns cover in almost every position.

Originally bought as a defensive-midfielder the Dutchman quickly found himself at centre-back with the recurring injuries to Phil Jones. So much so that Blind was one of United’s most capped players in the 2015/16 season, which also earned him a nomination for the club’s player of the season award.

Despite a great season the possible arrival of Eric Bailly, as reported by Sky Sports, could spell the end for Blind’s Old Trafford days – a much taller, stronger and faster option for Mourinho.
