Danny Rose
It’s clear that Jose Mourinho considers the left-back position to be a concern, with Luke Shaw having been frozen out and the previously unpopular Matteo Darmian seeming to become first choice. If United want to sign a player in this position, Rose is the best around.
With Tottenham’s wage structure meaning that a number of their key players could be open to being tempted by big money offers from elsewhere, the Red Devils may be able to do enough to persuade Rose to force a move if they can haggle a fee with Tottenham.
Rose has shown that he is defensively sound and has become part of one of the Premier League’s best defences with his assured and confident displays. This season, Rose has never looked troubled by the threat of any of the Premier League’s most exciting wingers.
He is also powerful and strong going forwards, as demonstrated by his performances as a wing-back under Mauricio Pochettino, which have seen him become a key part of Spurs’ attacking play as he bombs down the left wing.
