After spending huge amounts of money last summer, it seems that Manchester United are prepared to do so again as they prepare their squad for the pressure of the Champions League after three years away and with hopes of a Premier League title push under Jose Mourinho.
After securing a treble last season, Mourinho will be backed by the board of the club and is likely to have a big budget to secure improvements, with a number of high profile exits also likely, with doubts over the futures of the likes of Wayne Rooney and Luke Shaw.

The Everton striker may not come cheap, but it is clear that goals are needed in attack for the Red Devils. With Swansea in 15th having scored more goals this season, the prolific record of Lukaku would be more than welcome.
Given his strength and physicality, Lukaku would be the closest match to the likes of Didier Drogba that Jose Mourinho has previously built his sides around, and he is the most similar kind of player to Zlatan Ibrahimovic on the market with such an impressive history in the Premier League.
The Belgian alone would not be enough to turn United’s attack around, but given some quality additions around him, it is hard to imagine how Lukaku would not prove Mourinho wrong having sold him from Chelsea and thrive at Old Trafford.
