Jetro Willems – PSV Eindhoven
According to Goal, the PSV left-back could be available for €7-8 million which would be a price that is too good to turn down for Liverpool.
The Reds need to address their left-back problem this summer as they can’t afford to go into the Champions League with James Milner in the position, as he will be targeted. Although he hasn’t been linked this summer, Willems has been linked in previous windows and Klopp may be prepared to go back in for the Dutchman.
Willems is a modern-day full-back, who is capable of producing in the attacking half with his intelligent passing and ability to beat a man to put a cross in. During the last three seasons, the left-back has contributed 19 assists.
His best season came in 2014/15 and he has since struggled with injuries, but he remains a huge talent. At the age of 23, he has time to develop further and would benefit from working under Klopp. This would be a signing from left-field, but potentially a shrewd one.
