L’Equipe claim that the Gunners are set to go head to head with Tottenham for the 21-year-old winger, with the report alleging that Wenger’s track record with French youngsters could tempt him.
Part of Monaco’s title-winning and Champions League semi-finalist side, Lemar has made a name for himself with good displays of power and pace down the flanks, notching nine goals and ten assists.
His ability to both score and provide has alerted the interest of the Arsenal manager, and with the North London side seeking more innovative players in the final third next year Lemar would be a good fit.
