With Petr Cech approaching 36-years-old and David Ospina failing to impress in his odd appearance this season, now could be the perfect time to bring fresh blood to the Emirates.

Almost all of Arsenal’s top-six rivals have world-class goalkeepers in the likes of Thibaut Courtois, David de Gea and Hugo Lloris, and now is the time for the Gunners to match this with their own star.

Reports in Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, as referenced by both the Daily Mail and the Daily Express, claim that there are eleven clubs currently keeping tabs on the 18-year-old – with Arsenal not believed to be one – but they could do a lot worse than join in with the interest.

Donnarumma has set Serie A alight this season with some exceptional individual performances, and his agility and his level-head for someone of his age has justified the comparisons to Gianluigi Buffon.
