Laurent Blanc
An unexpected name to be linked, the ex-Paris Saint-Germain boss could well be in the frame. He spent the 1996/97 season in Barcelona as a regular in midfield and has since gone on to manage both Bordeaux and the French national team before taking the reigns in the capital.
Having won the league four times out of six in which he has competed in Ligue Un, few have a better track record. That said, there were question marks over his team’s failure to progress to the latter stages of the Champions League and he certainly had clash to splash.
Unemployed currently, Blanc may represent a cheap option for the club as they look to cut costs to keep their beloved MSN trio of strikers at the club, but he is unlikely to be the first choice.
