Goalkeeper – Steve Mandanda

This one is a bit out of left field. Possibly a luxury signing given the other more pressing problems, but an upgrade on Willy Caballero may be sought at some stage. Caballero was signed to push Joe Hart. However, after several blunders by the Argentinian, the club could look elsewhere to keep the pressure on England’s number one.

A possible replacement could be Marseille’s Steve Mandanda. It would be a very surprising move but the goalkeeper, who has recently been linked with a move to Aston Villa, is another who is out of contract in the summer and would represent a cheap alternative should the club wish to replace Caballero.
