One of the sad things about the current United squad is the lack of pace and creativity from the wings.

Each and every Manchester United team over the years has always boasted excellent wingers and they desperately need a player of this guile right now.

Juan Mata is an exceptional player but he’s also brilliantly slow and hence not fit to play on the right flank.

Sadio Mane, meanwhile has proven an excellent acquisition for Ronald Koeman’s Southampton over the past two years, and if the rumours were to be believed, he would be highly interested in moving as well.

Adding Mane to the squad would give United the attacking flair they so desperately crave in the final third.
