The title winning Manchester United squad of 2012/13 was stripped bare last summer window by Louis van Gaal, who wanted to commence a complete overhaul following the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson and the disastrous reign of David Moyes.
This has led to the Dutchman’s team being thin in a number of areas and, as such, it looks as if he needs to add one or two players this January window – that’s if he wishes to challenge Manchester City and Arsenal for the Premier League title.
