Saido Berahino – West Brom
Since this summers transfer debacle, in which he made his thoughts clear on twitter, Berahino has struggled for form, finding himself benched regularly and has only scored 3 times in 8 starts and 7 substitute appearances. Although he is the third striker on this list, Berahino may be the most likely, as Pulis has publicly questioned the striker and his attitude. Frustrating for many, Berahino clearly has the talent required to be a top PL striker one day, unfortunately his performances this season do not match this claim. Pochettino may see past this season’s blip to address Tottenham’s lack of strikers, by trying to complete a deal this window, using this seasons struggles as a way to haggle the price down.
Pochettino has been lauded for his ability to work with young players and Berahino still appears to offer the answer for the man to support Kane, Pochettino still demands levels of professionalism that Berahino has not shown this year. The Berahino-Tottenham transfer saga looks to be an interesting one, with developments expected in the coming weeks.
