Calum Chambers – Arsenal
One of the eight first-choice players to have departed St Marys in the past two summers, Chambers would be the first, and likely to be only, player to make a return, albeit on loan.
After signing for Arsenal for £16m, the right-back was converted into a centre back and emergency defensive midfielder; his versatility definitely being one of the reasons why Arsene Wenger was so keen to sign Mauricio Pochettino’s main Saints protégé.
But after the emergence of Hector Bellerin and the steady partnership of Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker, the 20 year old could make a temporary trip back home in the search for first team football.
