Sam Byram
With the injury of Coleman for a suspected month, Everton have been left extremely light at Right Back. Tony Hibbert has not featured within the squad this season and youngster Tyias Browning is out for the season with injury. Cover for this position was probably a necessity even before the Irishman’s injury, but makes it even more pressing a matter now.
Linked to Everton, is Leeds youngster, Sam Byram. There was a reported deal last summer but no agreement was finalised. However on this occasion Leeds owner, Massimo Cellino, has suggested that Byram will be allowed to leave Elland Road this month with Goodison Park his expected destination. Though available on a free (and compensation to Leeds) this summer, a small fee would probably acquire Byram this month. The youngster would be nurtured under Martinez’s tutelage and would likely become an Everton starter in years to come.
