Leeds United are reportedly considering Slavia Prague playmaker Nicolae Stanciu this summer and are said to have made an enquiry for the Romanian star, as the Whites look to bolster their squad for top-flight football.
The Daily Mail claim Leeds have asked Slavia Prague about 27-year-old Stanciu and have been told to spend £7million if they want to complete a move for the attacker. Here are five facts about the Romanian ace:
Romania regular
Stanciu has already made his name on the international stage, clocking up 37 caps for his country. In those outings, he has also scored 10 goals – and is now considered a regular, appearing nine times in 2019.
Mutu and Hagi comparisons
Romanian media has compared Stanciu to Adrian Mutu and Gheorghe Hagi, because all three have worn the number 10 shirt for Romania. In 2016, he told DigiSport: “Stop comparing me with Hagi and Mutu,” as he felt it was unfair.

Champions League last season
Stanciu was part of an impressive Slavia Prague side that faced Inter Milan, Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona in the Champions League group stages last season. He started all six matches, but failed to score or provide an assist.
Versatile
Just how Marcelo Bielsa likes them. Stanciu is naturally a number 10 and has played in that role this season, but he can play on either flank, and even as a false nine if required to do so.
Same agent as Aston Villa and Newcastle players
According to TransferMarkt, Stanciu is represented by SPOCS Global Sports. They have Premier League pedigree, with Newcastle goalkeeper Martin Dubravka and Aston Villa striker Mbwana Samatta also on their list of clients.
