He was rated 8.9 by SofaScore for his performance yesterday, more than any other player, and Spurs fans are absolutely delighted with how good he has been since Conte’s arrival.

Lucas has stepped up under Conte
In the Premier League this season, Lucas hadn’t scored a goal or picked up an assist before Conte’s arrival. Since the Italian took charge, he has three goals and two assists to his name in five starts, which shows a clear upturn in form.
The Brazilian really suits Conte’s system. He now has the freedom to cut inside and have an impact centrally and in a wing-back like Emerson, he has someone who will constantly overlap and drag a defender away.
It will be interesting to see how much better Lucas and Emerson’s partnership on the right-hand side will get under Conte in the coming weeks and months. Early signs show that the potential is massive, which should really excite Tottenham fans.
As for Lucas alone, every Spurs supporter can notice the difference in his play in Conte’s system. He has become a real star under the Italian and he can become even better in 2022.
