Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is now reportedly turning down phone calls from Manchester City in regards to Harry Kane.
According to the Telegraph, the Spurs figurehead is eager to retain his key attacker by any means necessary. The Premier League champions are keen to sign Kane, but Levy is digging in his heels.
The England captain has only just returned to training following Euro 2020. As reported by the Athletic, Kane won’t travel with the squad to Portugal for their UEFA Europa Conference League play-off this week.

Indeed, Kane was not even named on the bench for Spurs’ opening Premier League fixture against City, whilst Levy was pictured in the stands.
The transfer saga involving Kane will likely roll on until the final hours of the transfer window. City have just under two weeks to convince Levy to agree to a deal for the 28-year-old striker.
And for Spurs fans on social media, some agree with how Levy is handling City’s approach to signing Kane.

A few supporters are keen to see the club earn a certain fee for the attacker. Especially with City paying a club-record fee for Jack Grealish earlier in the window.
Here’s what some Spurs fans had to say about Levy blocking communications with City for Kane on Twitter…
As per the Telegraph, City will make one last attempt to sign Kane this window.
