‘Finished’, ‘Eye-bleedingly awful’ – Newcastle fans criticise Christian Atsu

Newcastle United moved off the foot of the table yesterday but it was another poor performance.

In an away trip to Southampton, the game might have been there for the taking.

But neither side could break the deadline in a toothless display from both teams’ attacking departments.

Newcastle did not manage a single shot on target all game.

It has been a recurring theme for the Magpies this season as they have only scored six goals in 10 league matches.

Consequently, they have failed to pick up a single win this season and have only managed to earn three points in total.

After yesterday’s game, fans were raging at a number of players, including Christian Atsu.

The 26-year-old came off the bench and was poor yet again. He picked up a yellow card, which was his only meaningful contribution to the game.

While Atsu is not the only one to blame for Newcastle’s goal-shy attack, fans are claiming that he is simply not good enough.
