Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after the Daily Record revealed that the Reds have been scouting Fleetwood defender James Hill.
What’s the story?
Well, the Daily Record believe Everton and Manchester United have also scouted the teenager, who is a key player for the League One side.
Burnley, Southampton and Rangers saw bids rejected for Hill over the summer.
Fleetwood owner Andy Pilley confirmed that he’s even had to turn down scouting requests, as the ‘entire Premier League’ wants to watch Hill.
As you can see, a few Liverpool fans aren’t too happy with this news.
Their frustration seems to stem from jealously, as Chelsea sign Romelu Lukaku and Manchester United land Cristiano Ronaldo, whereas Jürgen Klopp is eyeing League One gems.
Of course, we know a club of Liverpool’s stature are able to scout prospects and also focus on the bigger names, so that isn’t worth moaning about.
Liverpool must learn from missing out on Jude Bellingham

As aforesaid, some fans are moaning about this, although you can bet they wouldn’t complain if you told them Hill would become the next big thing.
In our view, Liverpool need to start signing more players like Hill.
The Reds famously missed out on another League One prospect in Dele Alli back in 2015, as Tottenham beat them to a £5m deal.
Leicester full-back James Justin is another who has come from League One into the Premier League for peanuts, and taken to it like a duck to water.

Who knows? If Liverpool were a bit more proactive in the lower leagues, perhaps they would’ve been the ones to sign Jude Bellingham from Birmingham.
Now, the Reds are believed to be eyeing a club-record £80m deal for the 18-year-old, who could’ve been signed from the Championship a few years ago.
Yes, scouting Hill might seem underwhelming. However, if he becomes a new Alli, Justin or Bellingham, fans certainly won’t complain.
For now, let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying about the news…
