It appears Celtic will not be keeping Filip Benkovic next season. The Croatian defender has confirmed his plans to return to Leicester City in the summer to Sportske Novosti.
Celtic fans will be disappointed, as the 21-year-old has shown great promise during his spell at Parkhead.
However, could his return to the King Power present another option to Celtic?
Benkovic was not the only young centre-back to join Leicester last summer. Caglar Soyuncu also joined the club in a deal reported to be worth £19 million by Sky Sports.

However, the former Freiburg youngster has struggled to adapt to English football and could use a season out on loan next term, especially if Benkovic overtakes him in the pecking order.
So could Celtic offer him a spell at Parkhead?
Leicester would surely be keen, seeing the progress Benkovic has made in Glasgow. Giving the Turkish defender a similar stint could help him progress into a player more suited to the British game and valuable experience in European football.
If Benkovic returns to Leicester, then Soyuncu suddenly appears available. At which point, Celtic should ask the question.
