According to UOL, Felipe Anderson is waiting to receive offers regarding a potential transfer after accepting that his future is away from West Ham United.

Anderson has failed to achieve what was expected of him during a season-long loan spell with Portuguese giants FC Porto, where he has found it extremely challenging to force a way into head coach Sergio Conceicao’s plans.

The Brazilian has only started five of his nine appearances across all competitions and has only featured twice in the Liga NOS since the turn of the year, while even omitted from 11 of Conceicao’s last 12 matchday squads – only returning to the bench on Monday night.

Anderson’s inability to dazzle in Portugal could now cost him a future in claret and blue, as West Ham are not considering offering the 28-year-old a chance to earn another contract, with his current £85,000-per-week (Spotrac) terms set to expire next summer.

Instead, the two-cap Brazil international is already waiting to receive offers to leave the London Stadium on a permanent deal, just three years after joining the Hammers in a then club-record £36million (BBC) transfer with Lazio.

West Ham were keen to sell Anderson last summer (Standard) after placing the forward on their transfer list, but failed to find a suitor and ultimately settled for a loan deal with Porto in October (BBC) as the Portuguese window remained open past that of the English market.

TBR’s view:

The potential for Anderson to seal a permanent transfer at the end of the season has remained high throughout the current term (Guardian), yet it remains to be seen how much West Ham can recoup of the fee paid to Lazio given his continued struggles at Porto.

West Ham would have hoped to see Anderson at least play regularly under Conceicao in order to protect as much of his market value as possible, but will likely be forced to accept a similarly high loss to the £25m hit (Standard) taken by selling Sebastien Haller.

Doing so would also signify a seismic shift for Anderson in the year and half since David Moyes returned to the London Stadium, having been a favourite under his predecessor Manuel Pellegrini, to being shown the door despite the Scot dubbing him ‘such an important player’ (Standard) last year.

It also remains to be seen who will be interested in signing Anderson, who was linked with a mid-season move to Serie A side Fiorentina (Gazzetta dello Sport) before West Ham decided to let him spend the full season at Porto.
