‘Faultless’: Wolves fans hail Romain Saiss for display against Chelsea
Romain Saiss completed 90 minutes in the win over Chelsea on Wednesday night – and some Wolverhampton Wanderers fans on Twitter waxed lyrical about the quality of his performance.
Wolves pulled off a shock 2-1 home victory against the Blues at Molineux and even came from a goal behind after Ruben Loftus-Cheek’s deflected strike for the visitors.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side scored two quick-fire second-half goals through Raul Jimenez and Diogo Jota to earn three points, which means they are now 12th in the Premier League table and ended their own poor form of late in emphatic style.

Saiss was starting just his second league game of the season in midweek and Wolves were without the suspended Ruben Neves.
But the 28-year-old enforcer more than filled the Neves void by providing a physical presence in the centre of the park and going toe to toe with Chelsea’s elite midfield.
Saiss has had to be patient so far this campaign waiting for his opportunities, but looked rock solid alongside teammate Joao Moutinho and may have left Nuno with a difficult team selection moving forward.
A selection of Wolves fans on social media were blown away by Saiss’ latest display and hailed his influence.
Here are a selection of fan tweets on central midfielder Saiss:
Saiss is the unsung hero again #wwfc

MGW was excellent and so was Saiss. Makes a big difference having a bit of physicality in there. Neves on the bench on Sunday for me #wwfc #WOLCHE

Plan B worked a treat. Saiss does everything we need this league when he plays in the middle. The Donk looked great when he came on & Jota, Raul and MGW were just sublime. As was Moutinho. Well done boys. Love the Bennett long throw tactic. Just enjoyed to see we can adapt #wwfc
