Fantasy Premier League 2024/25 is out now! TBR Football gives five of the best bargains in this year’s game.

Almost one million FPL managers worldwide have already picked their teams and several million more will do so over the coming weeks.

As always, managers have been given a £100 million budget to select a starting eleven and four subs from the best league in the world.

Everyone wants to pick the likes of Erling Haaland, Mohamed Salah and Cole Palmer but that is simply not possible if you want to have a balanced team.

Managers must look for value among the cheaper players, and TBR Football are here to help you out.

Here are the five best bargains on FPL, including a Chelsea goalscorer who cost the Blues £52 million.

Callum Hudson-Odoi (MID) – £5.5m

Callum Hudson-Odoi was one of the most exciting prospects in the Premier League when he came through Chelsea’s academy. However, a long-term Achilles injury stunted his development and eventually led to his departure last summer. The move to Nottingham Forest turned out to be a successful one as he scored eight league goals and helped them avoid relegation. A full pre-season under his belt could see him improve on that tally in the upcoming campaign, which would make him one of FPL’s best bargains.

Joao Pedro (FWD) – £5.5m

Joao Pedro’s debut season at Brighton went relatively well. He provided nine goals and three assists in 19 league starts and will be looking to improve on that in 2024/25. At just £5.5m, he will prove to be excellent value if he can nail down a place in the Seagulls’ starting lineup.

Christopher Nkunku (MID) – £6.5m

A lot was expected of Christopher Nkunku when he completed the £52m move to Chelsea from RB Leipzig. The Frenchman had been a prolific goalscorer in the Bundesliga and the Blues have needed one of those since Diego Costa left seven years ago. It did not pan out in 2023/24 as he dealt with a few injury problems but the talent is there to make a huge impact at Stamford Bridge next season.

Leon Bailey (MID) – £6.5m

Leon Bailey’s 2023/24 season went under the radar, probably due to the outstanding form of his Aston Villa teammate Ollie Watkins. The Jamaican scored 10 goals and set up 11 more for Unai Emery’s side and reached a total of 148 FPL points. It comes as a surprise that his price was not raised to at least £7.0m, so he is certainly one to look out for.

Eberechi Eze (MID) – £7.0m

Eberechi Eze’s previous campaign was decent on the whole but it was his late-season form that will excite FPL managers. The playmaker elevated his game to a new level after the appointment of Oliver Glasner in February. With Michael Olise leaving the South London club for Bayern Munich, Eze will be expected to shoulder even more responsibility at Selhurst Park. £7.0m is a bargain for a player who is more than capable of reaching doubles figures for goals and assists.
