Cole Palmer is the talk of the Premier League at the moment.
The Chelsea youngster made the statement of all statements on Thursday evening as he bagged a hat-trick against Manchester United to seal a 4-3 win against Chelsea.
Palmer has been the toast of the town since that game, and many have discussed where Palmer now sits in the pantheon of Premier League talent.
Speaking on ESPN, Steve Nicol has been comparing Palmer to some of his peers, and he says that Arsenal currently have a player who’s even better than Palmer.

Arsenal have a player who’s better than Palmer
Nicol spoke about some of the young English talent in the Premier League right now, and he claimed that Bukayo Saka is still better than Cole Palmer.
“I think Saka is a better player than Palmer right now, I just wonder with Cole Palmer, it’s easy to forget that he’s still learning. He scored a hat-trick, but he disappears out of games a lot, but if he can figure out how to be involved for more time in the 90 minutes, he could be fantastic, but at the moment, Foden is the best of the three,” Nicol said.
Cole Palmer is getting closer
Nicol’s view is probably the widely accepted view. After all, Saka has been doing it at this level for longer and he’s also done it for England.
However, there really isn’t much in this debate these days.
Indeed, Palmer has improved so much this season, and he’s already outdone Bukayo Saka’s best season in terms of scoring goals.
Of course, there is more to Saka’s game than just goals, but Palmer’s impact at Chelsea has been exceptional.
This is a debate that will undoubtedly roar on over the next few years as both men duke it out for a spot in the England team.
