‘Fantastic’ player has agreed personal terms to leave Tottenham this summer

Tottenham Hotspur could now be set to approve exit number eight of the summer as Daniel Levy continues to clear the decks.

When it comes to player departures, Tottenham have been one of the busiest clubs in the Premier League.

Ange Postecoglou inherited a bloated side after Antonio Conte’s reign at the north London club and Levy is certainly helping the Australian to clear the decks.

Spurs are currently in Japan and have traveled with a squad which has been culled of a lot of unwanted players.

However, there are still a few at the club who could be set to move on before the end of the transfer window next month.

Tottenham player has agreed personal terms to join new club

Spurs set out this summer to really clear out their squad of the players who Postecoglou did not view as part of his plans.

For the large part, Tottenham have done an excellent job in doing so with only a few players like Emerson Royal remaining at the club.

Emerson Royal is receiving strong interest from AC Milan, however, with the right-back potentially set to leave over the coming weeks.

And then there is Bryan Gi and Sergio Reguilon who have been left in London from the pre-season tour to find themselves a new club.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Gil has now agreed personal terms with Girona over a potential return to his homeland.

The Spaniard is said to have his heart set on a possible move to Girona who would even be able to provide him with Champions League football this season.

What will be interesting to see is whether Tottenham are able to agree a permanent deal with the Spanish side or whether they will have to settle for another loan.

Bryan Gil will go down as one of the worst Tottenham signings

Undoubtedly, Tanguy Ndombele will be remembered as one of the worst Tottenham signings in the club’s history.

But, it has to be said, Gil – who has been hailed as ‘fantastic‘ – perhaps goes under the radar given his transfer fee was slightly hidden by the deal Spurs pulled off.

Tottenham paid £21m for Gil as well as providing Sevilla with Erik Lamela – who went on to provide the Spanish side with a much healthier return.

In return, Gil has provided Spurs with zero goals and two assists in 23 appearances.

Spurs fans will be glad to see his spell in north London potentially come to an end soon.
