'Fantastic on the left', 'incredible': Some fans react as 'exciting' Liverpool forward's loan spell ends

Liverpool academy graduate Liam Millar is on his way back to Anfield following a successful loan spell at Charlton.

The 21-year-old, who joined the Reds setup in 2016, left Merseyside at the start of the year to link up with the Addicks until the summer.

Millar made 27 appearances for Charlton, registering three goals and six assists, and became a fan favourite thanks to his talent and workrate.

Agonisingly for Charlton, they fell just short of the League One playoffs on goal difference, sixth-placed Oxford having scored seven more goals than the Londoners this term.

The youngster took to Twitter with a message for the Addicks fanbase following the end of their season:

And some supporters thanked Millar for his efforts in red and white:

Millar, a Canada international, has made one senior appearance for Liverpool, playing 82 minutes in the FA Cup fourth-round replay win over Shrewsbury last year.

Celtic fans left short-changed by Sky Sports once again
