Arsenal fans will need to wait until tomorrow to see their team in action against Everton, but updates from the training ground this weekend are looking positive for the Gunners.

In the main, that’s because Granit Xhaka has been back out on the grass and even having light touches of the football.

The Swiss star was not expected to return until the new year. However, Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Xhaka has really stepped things up this week. That, in turn, has led to some Arsenal fans believing that the midfielder could even be back as soon as the next week or two.

Of course, it remains to be seen just when Xhaka will return. But the midfield has looked light without him at times and with Thomas Partey off to Africa in January, his return is a timely one.
