'Fantastic': Harry Kane says one Tottenham player always laughing and joking in training
Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane has praised Spurs teammate Son Heung-min, saying he’s a “fantastic” player and person.
The Spurs centre-forward was speaking on his Instagram stories, answering questions from fans on his 10-year Premier League debut anniversary.
Back in August 2012, Kane came on as an 86th-minute substitute for Sandro in a 2-1 loss at Newcastle United.
The Tottenham striker had made his club debut one year earlier, in a Europa League qualifier at home to Hearts.
A decade on, Kane is one of the best strikers in the world, with sensational goal tallies for club and country.
Meanwhile, Son joined Tottenham in August 2015, Spurs paying Bayer Leverkusen just £22million for his services.
The South Korea international has also been sensational for Tottenham since arriving at N17.
And together, Kane and Son have lit up the Premier League for the past seven years.
On Kane’s Instagram stories, a fan asked him what it was like to play alongside Son.
“Fantastic player, fantastic person as well,” said the England captain.
“Always laughing and joking around the training ground, keeps the energy high.”
A manager’s dream – TBR View
Son is a spectacular footballer, on and off the field, and very much a manager’s dream.
He’s an incredibly talented player, scores and assists plenty of goals, works hard, has the right attitude, and likes to have a laugh.
Son is universally popular among the fanbase and in the dressing room, with teammates often singing his praises.
The next couple of years could define what kind of legacy he leaves.
Spurs look to have a real opportunity to contend for honours under Antonio Conte.
Should Son help Tottenham win silverware, a place in the Spurs hall of fame is assured.
