Tottenham Hotspur defender Eric Dier has told the club’s official website that Richarlison made a huge impact when he came on against Nottingham Forest yesterday

Richarlison made his third appearance for Spurs as he came on as a substitute for Antonio Conte’s men yesterday.

The 25-year-old is yet to start a game but has looked bright whenever he has been called upon by Conte.

Yesterday was no different as the Brazilian came off the bench and set-up Harry Kane for his second goal of the afternoon.

Spurs ran out 2-0 winners but the game was still hanging in the balance when Richarlison replaced Heung-Min Son.

Dier says Richarlison made huge impact

Dier told Spurs Play after the game that Richarlison offered the team something a little bit different

“Richy [Richarlison] did incredibly well when he came on in the second-half, the energy he gave the team,” he said.

“I think to chase down the lost cause and put a great cross into the box for him is fantastic.

“Sess [Ryan Sessegnon] as well, when he came on. We need every single one of us to be able to contribute and it’s going to be so important.

“Especially now with so many games. Everyone is contributing and everyone is working hard. We need to keep going this way.”

Richarlison completed a move from Everton earlier this summer as Conte bolstered his attacking options.

The Brazil international was brought in to provide the Italian with depth across his front-three and he is doing exactly that so far.

Son hasn’t started brilliantly this season and Richarlison has provided a great alternative option.

The former Toffees man was a standout performer at Goodison Park last season and with plenty of games coming up for Spurs, he’s likely to be handed his first start soon enough.

Conte’s men travel to West Ham United on Wednesday evening and then host Fulham on Saturday afternoon.
