Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte has singled out Harry Kane after last night’s win over Eintracht Frankfurt, telling the club’s official website that he was the key to victory.
It was a thrilling affair in north London last night as Spurs managed to secure an important three points in the Champions League.
Antonio Conte’s men picked up a 3-2 win but will be slightly disappointed with the final 10 minutes of the game.
Despite missing a penalty, Kane put in a masterful display up-front as he and Son began to click into gear once again.
The 29-year-old calmly put away his penalty in the first-half after winning it himself. He also set up Son for his first of the evening.
And Conte feels the England captain was the key to victory in north London last night.

Conte singles out Kane
Speaking to Spurs Play, Conte revealed that Kane took up the exact positions he asked of him throughout the game.
“Harry Kane in my opinion played a fantastic game,” he said.
“I ask one thing, for him to stay in the right position and he did that for the whole game. He was decisive for us for the goal and for everything.”

Kane has been in lethal goalscoring form in the Premier League so far this season, having bagged eight in nine games.
The Spurs talisman will be delighted to have opened his Champions League account last night, but will also be disappointed to have put his penalty over the crossbar.
But there were some really encouraging signs for Conte last night as Spurs looked much-improved in an attacking sense. Kane and Son were linking up at their very best once again and Conte’s side created plenty of chances.
Despite the penalty miss, Kane’s all-round game was what made Spurs such a threat last night. The striker brought his teammates into the game and picked up dangerous positions in-front of the Frankfurt defence.
Conte will be hoping his Spurs side can build on this promising performance going into Saturday’s clash with Everton.
