A number of Northampton Town fans have taken to Twitter to laud Kion Etete after the Tottenham Hotspur loanee opened his account in League Two on Tuesday night.
The Cobblers made it back-to-back wins and now sit sixth in the table after a 3-0 victory over Stevenage at Sixfields.

And it was a pivotal evening for the 19-year-old, who went into the game still awaiting his first goal in the league since his switch.
The Tottenham teenager had previously scored twice in the Carabao Cup following his move to Jon Brady’s side.
But he had previously gone 10 league games without a goal for Northampton. Thankfully, that run is now over.

Etete smashed home the opening goal from the edge of the box. The goalkeeper got a decent hand on the ball, but could only parry it into the far corner.
And it appears that many of the Northampton fans on social media believe that that could prove to be a crucial moment in Etete’s spell with the club.
He has offered a lot without scoring previously. On Tuesday, he won six aerial duels, according to Whoscored.
But the fans are clearly optimistic that ending that wait for a league goal will lead to many more in the months ahead.
