Fans react to Poland assist from Leeds star Mateusz Klich

A number of fans, including plenty of Leeds United supporters, have taken to Twitter to laud Mateusz Klich after his outrageous assist for Poland in their crucial World Cup qualifying victory over Albania on Tuesday.

Klich actually began the clash on the bench as Paulo Sousa’s men looked for the win that would see them overtake their opponents in their group.

And ultimately, they would get the three points – on a dramatic night in Tirana. The game was stopped after Poland took the lead with home fans throwing objects at the visiting players.

It would obviously take something special to wrestle headlines away from the evening’s flashpoint. But thankfully, Klich was on hand to provide an outrageous assist.

After coming on at the break, Klich produced a stunning cross into the path of Karol Swiderski. It was a sumptuous ball towards the back post from the Leeds man.

And it will come as little surprise to many that plenty of fans have taken to social media to laud the 31-year-old for that moment of magic.

Klich may have felt that he had a point to prove after being left out of the starting lineup for the crucial game.

‘Klich with a magic assist’

And he certainly went on to show the quality that he can bring to the table with the brilliant assist.

Some compared Klich with Trent Alexander-Arnold or Kevin De Bruyne. And understandably, several Leeds fans expressed their delight with the cross ahead of their return to action this weekend.
