Fans react to performance of Tottenham star during Tuesday draw
Tottenham star Son Heung-min was in fine form once again for South Korea earlier today. He netted as his country faced Iran in the latest round of World Cup qualifiers.
Son scored a late winner for his nation last week. He bagged an 89th-minute winner against Syria to leave his country in pole position for a place at the World Cup.
Son is a bit of a machine on the international stage. He is clearly his country’s main talisman and has 28 goals from 92 appearances for South Korea.
That said, he’s hardly bad for Tottenham! Son has scored three goals so far this season and also registered two assists under Nuno Espirito Santo.
Last season was a stunning one for Son. He scored 22 goals and claimed 17 assists, striking up a truly remarkable partnership with Harry Kane in the process.
Since checking in at Spurs, he’s become a fan favourite. He arrived from Bayer Leverkusen and has bagged 110 goals and claimed 66 assists from 289 appearances for the club.
People naturally talk about Kane and his importance. It’s fair to say, however, that losing Son anytime soon could prove just as detrimental.
