Fans react to Everton 'liability' Yerry Mina after Brighton loss
Everton’s inconsistent form continued yesterday as they failed to follow up on their weekend thrashing of Burnley against Brighton. A solitary goal from Jurgen Locadia gave the Seagulls a deserved win.
Everton fans were again left frustrated by their side and several usual suspects found themselves in the firing line.
Seamus Coleman and Theo Walcott, for example, were again called out after the game.
But some fans are also starting to wonder about Yerry Mina.
After a brilliant World Cup with Colombia, Everton snapped up Mina from Barcelona in the summer. He cost a fee reported by the BBC to be in the region of £27.2 million.

His debut saw a dream display v Chelsea and against Burnley he was also supreme, scoring his first goal for the club in the process. However, against Brighton, it was a game of two halves.
The Colombian was brilliant and assured in the first period. In the second-half it was like watching an entirely different player.
Mina was rash with his decision making, his play on the ball was erratic and, when Everton needed to bring on Gylfi Sigurdsson to try and make some magic happen, Mina was the man pulled from action.
It was another inconsistent display from the 23-year-old. Everton fans need him to start producing more reliable displays soon if they are to continue being happy with their investment…
The only 2 players that needs to be singled out is Pickford and Zouma. Only they played well but as individuals cause Silva confuses the players. All the blame should be on Silva. Mina shouldn’t start, he is the 1 that should drop out to play the original way.

Honestly the rest of that squad can be improved hugely. Still not convinced with Mina, Keane’s been our best CB this season. Bernard shouldn’t be written off also, he was quality at Shakhtar and in the Champions League. Just needs time to adapt.

Take Mina off. No point having 3 centre backs now. Or Ever.

Shocking challenge my Mina. Should have just stood next to him and let him run the ball out. We need to improve massively! #EFC #COYB

Still not convinced with Mina he looks such a liability

One minute Mina looks brilliant, the next he looks terrible. Such an inconsistent defender. Still early days so hope he finds that consistent level

Watching Yerry Mina here against the mighty Brighton and he’s been sent for a hot dog about 3 times.
Barca absolutely yanked Everton’s kecks down.

Mina is fast earning his ‘yard dog’ badge, Walcott now showing consistently why Arsenal got shut of him and sad to say that Seamus has lost a yard of pace

Him, Walcott and Mina were the worst players on the pitch, all on the right side.
