A number of fans have taken to Twitter to laud Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain for his performance after coming on as Liverpool beat Atletico Madrid 3-2 in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The Reds had not been at their best. And a number of players had seemingly struggled to kick on after a blistering start.
One player who did receive a lot of credit on the night was Chamberlain. The 28-year-old was introduced shortly after the hour-mark.
He brought some real intent to the side when he came on. Chamberlain made an important intervention at the back.
