Fans react as Tottenham-owned Oliver Skipp shines for Norwich

Oliver Skipp was in fine form for Norwich City last night as the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder continues to shine.

The Canaries defeated Nottingham Forest 2-1 at Carrow Road to go back to the summit of the Championship.

Skipp joined Daniel Farke’s team in the summer transfer window and will spend the 2020/21 campaign in East Anglia.

The 20-year-old has started every game for Norwich this season and will hope to continue playing regularly.

With 23 first-team appearances to his name at Tottenham, he will be desperate to win a place in Mourinho’s team next season.

Interestingly, the boss has shown a willingness to utilise the club’s academy players this season and that bodes well for Skipp.

For now, though the remit is clear; continue to play matches and get some decent experience under his belt.

It will surely be giving Skipp confidence to see academy graduates earning a chance back at Tottenham and he’ll want to throw his name into the mix.

Norwich boss Farke is clearly valuing his input, trusting him to be in the midfield lynchpin in each game this season.
