Some fans of several teams have hit out at Leeds United’s Twitter message regarding Reading not selling out their away allocation for Saturday’s Championship game at Elland Road.
The Whites website and social media feed confirmed that the Royals are “the latest club” not to sell out their allocation, which means extra tickets have been made available to Leeds fans in the West Stand.
Nonetheless, Leeds have copped a fair bit of criticism for much of the season from away supporters due to the £39 ticket price for them to attend a game at Elland Road.
As reported by Leeds Live, the ticket price is among the most expensive in the league, and more expensive than any Premier League game, where the most expensive away ticket is capped at £30.
Indeed, Leeds’ away ticket prices have also been splitting opinion amongst their own fans, some deeming them steep, others thinking it’s fair for them to be the same price as tickets for Whites supporters that sit in the same section.
Here is just some of the social media reaction to Leeds’ post:
Leeds currently sit second in the Championship table, four points behind West Brom.
