A number of football fans have taken to Twitter to laud Jose Mourinho after a video was uploaded showing the Tottenham Hotspur boss volunteering to get food parcels ready for the elderly in Enfield this week.

Football has, understandably, taken a backseat in recent weeks. And it looks set to do so for some time to come as safety is prioritised.

And while missing out on the football is obviously incredibly difficult for many fans, the break has seen a number of figures from inside the game still manage to make lives a little easier for others with some brilliant gestures.

The Spurs boss is amongst those who deserve enormous credit. A video emerged on social media on Monday showing the Portuguese volunteering in London.

The Tottenham man was helping getting supply parcels ready for the elderly in the local area before he helped deliver them out.

And in response, fans of numerous clubs were amongst those who lauded Mourinho for the work he was doing.

Of course, there are so many whose work will go without receiving the acknowledgement that they absolutely deserve at this time.

But having figures such as Mourinho helping out is also vitally important. He has the kind of profile that makes clips like the one below attract the most attention. And perhaps, it may encourage others to help out where they can.

And Mourinho deserves the credit that he has received on social media.
