‘Fallen in love’: Some West Brom fans wowed by one player’s ‘brilliant’ display v Birmingham

A number of West Brom fans have waxed lyrical about Jayson Molumby following his impressive cameo in Friday’s Championship win.

Valerien Ismael’s charges ran out 1-0 winners over Birmingham at the Hawthorns, courtesy of Karlan Grant’s 75th-minute goal.

It wasn’t a great game by any stretch of the imagination, with West Brom flattering to deceive for most of it.

However, the Baggies did just enough to get over the line, putting them back on top of the Championship table.

Molumby hasn’t had much game time at West Brom since moving on loan from Brighton in August.

To date, the 22-year-old has clocked up three substitute appearances for Albion.

And his appearance off the bench against the Blues saw him earn plenty of praise from West Brom fans.

Stats-wise, Molumby completed one dribble, made one tackle and one block, tried his luck with one effort, and completed eight passes out of 13.
