Some Everton fans were left feeling saddened after Fabrizio Romano revealed the latest update about their prospective chase of Norwich City’s ‘outstanding‘ Max Aarons.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Blues have no chance of signing the full-back after reports the Goodison Park side were interested in the player.
The move will be a bitter blow to those associated with outfit with Carlo Ancelotti looking to strengthen the right-side of his defence.
Aarons enjoyed a brilliant campaign with the Canaries, winning promotion back to the Premier League at the first attempt. The England youth international scored twice and assisted a further five, featuring in 45 league games.
It means Seamus Coleman is the only recognised right-back at the club. The outfit felt the effect of that with Ben Godfrey and Mason Holgate filling in.

Aarons blow: Romano update shows Everton need a new plan
Last season’s squad was unacceptable. To have two centre-backs covering for the lack of a decent right-back shows off the poor organisation with transfers.
At 32-years-old, the Irishman is beyond his best years and the club need a proper defender. Romano and his update about Aarons is saddening, to say the least, and leaves Everton needing to come up with a backup plan.
Here are how some Everton fans reacted to Romano’s update on Aarons…
