Fabrizio Romano has provided an update on Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira, saying one of the sides linked with his services are no longer involved.
The Gunners man made the temporary switch from the Emirates Stadium to Atletico Madrid in the summer, but has barely featured for the Spanish side thus far.
Torreira has made just 15 appearances in all competitions for Los Colchoneros, and only four of those have been starts.

Earlier this month, Arsenal technical director Edu admitted there were “worries over Torreira” and his playing time at Atletico.
Monaco were said to be in talks with the Gunners over the possibility of signing the 24-year-old on loan.
However, Romano said on Thursday evening that this was no longer the case.
TBR View:
Torreira has been fairly unlucky at Arsenal, from Unai Emery’s failed No. 10 experiment to struggles for game time after returning to injury.
Mikel Arteta appears to have deemed Torreira surplus to requirements, hence his loan move, but he hasn’t been given much game time at Atletico.
The £26million man really could do with a switch elsewhere, but with the Monaco lead now seemingly off, hopefully he can find somewhere else before the window closes.
