Fabrizio Romano shares transfer update that's good news for West Ham
West Ham United have been linked with Manchester United defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka in recent days.
Last week, the Manchester Evening News reported that the Hammers were eyeing the 25-year-old on loan.
Dean Jones has also claimed West Ham were “considering” a move for Wan-Bissaka.
Fabrizio Romano has now added to the speculation, saying the Hammers “remain interested” in the right-back.
Better still, the Red Devils are “trying to find a solution for Wan-Bissaka in order to let him leave”.
As well as West Ham, the likes of Wolves and Crystal Palace are reportedly eyeing the England international.
Since that tweet, Romano subsequently shared news on Manchester United triggering the extension on Dalot’s contract.
Can West Ham land ‘one of the best’ 1v1 full-backs in football?
It’s not the first time West Ham have been linked with a move for Wan-Bissaka.
The Hammers were hopeful of signing him in the summer, but the Red Devils turned down their advances.
However, Wan-Bissaka has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford, with just a few minutes of game time under his belt this term.
He wasn’t even part of the squad that travelled to Fulham before the World Cup break, despite Dalot being suspended.
It looks as though Ten Hag would be happy to part company with Wan-Bissaka, and West Ham could well swoop.
It makes sense, as Hammers defender Vladimir Coufal has been linked with a departure from the London Stadium.
Wan-Bissaka may be out of favour at Old Trafford, but he’s a top player who could shine at West Ham.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer even called him “one of the best one-against-one defensive full-backs in the world”.
Now, with the Red Devils seemingly eager to move him on, the Hammers have a good chance of signing him.
However, a player of Wan-Bissaka’s quality will likely have multiple suitors after him, so West Ham will have to fight for him.
