Fabrizio Romano has shared the latest on Nottingham Forest midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White’s recent links to Arsenal.

Morgan Gibbs-White is the latest name linked with a summer move to the Emirates Stadium.

It’s well-documented that Mikel Arteta is keen to bolster his options in the middle of the park this summer, particularly with Thomas Partey’s future up in the air.

Emile Smith Rowe has also been heavily linked with a move away from Arsenal and reports have suggested Arteta could look to Gibbs-White to replace the Hale End Academy product.

Now, Romano has claimed that while Arsenal do ‘appreciate’ Gibbs-White, he isn’t aware of any concrete talks at this stage.

What Romano has said about Gibbs-White and Arsenal

Speaking to CaughtOffside, Romano shared the latest on Gibbs-White’s recent links to Arsenal.

“Morgan Gibbs-White has been linked with Arsenal by some outlets, but I’m not aware of anything imminent or concrete honestly,” the transfer insider said.

“They appreciate the player as many other clubs do as well, but at the moment they haven’t made contact with Nottingham Forest so we have to be patient on this one; it’s also going to be key to understand if Forest will still be in the Premier League or not.”

Gibbs-White’s stats for Forest

Since completing a £43 million move to the City Ground from Wolves back in the summer of 2022, Gibbs-White has excelled.

The Englishman netted five goals and provided eight assists as he played a key role in keeping Forest in the Premier League last term.

This time around, the 24-year-old has managed nine goal contributions in 33 appearances in all competitions.

Such has been his impact at Forest, the likes of Tottenham and West Ham are also said to be keen on signing him this summer.

But for the time being, it would appear that Arsenal haven’t firmed up their interest in the Forest skipper.
