Tottenham often keep tabs on the same transfer targets for a long time.
Spurs monitored James Maddison for years before eventually bringing him to north London, while Conor Gallagher is a player Tottenham were keen on for multiple transfer windows.
Spurs’ recruitment structure may have changed a lot in recent years, but the same players are continuously looked at by Tottenham.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Fabrizio Romano has been discussing Barcelona winger, Raphinha, and he says the Brazilian is someone Tottenham have always liked and still appreciate to this day.
Tottenham really like Raphinha
Romano shared what he knows about the £55m Barcelona star and Tottenham’s interest.
“Raphinha has always been attractive to several clubs, not only in Europe, when Barcelona signed him from Leeds there was interest from Chelsea and interest from Arsenal. He’s always been a player of interest for Tottenham, they have always appreciated him,” Romano said.

Raphinha won’t be leaving Barcelona
Tottenham are fans of Raphinha, but it’s hard to imagine that this deal will go ahead anytime soon.
Indeed, Raphinha has become one of Barcelona’s most important players recently.
He has five goals in six La Liga appearances already this season, and despite stiff competition on the wings, he’s one of the first names on Hansi Flick’s teamsheet.
With all due respect, Raphinha isn’t going to swap being a key player at Barcelona for Tottenham.
Raphinha dreamed of playing for Barcelona for a long time, and with his agent, Deco, heavily involved at Camp Nou, it’s hard to imagine La Blaugrana will be in any sort of rush to sell the South American in the near future.
Anything can happen in football, and while Raphinha looks indispensable at Barcelona right now, if he does become available at some point in the future, Tottenham may well be there waiting to pounce.
