Liverpool’s transfer window may be about to burst into life after months of inactivity.

The Reds are yet to make a signing this summer.

Richard Hughes and Michael Edwards have come in at Anfield as the new transfer team, but, so far this summer have sat on their hands.

However, that could be about to change in the final days of the window.

Giorgi Mamardashvili is close to joining Liverpool, while Liverpool are also interested in Federico Chiesa.

News about Chiesa broke on Monday evening, and according to Fabrizio Romano, the player is now keen on the move.

Federico Chiesa keen on Liverpool move

Fabrizio Romano shared an exciting update on the ‘superstar‘.

The journalist says that the winger is excited about the idea of joining Liverpool, and, crucially, personal terms won’t be a problem in this deal.

Chiesa is available for a bargain fee this summer, and this move could be a no-brainer for Liverpool.

Federico Chiesa would be perfect for Liverpool

Federico Chiesa could be just what the doctor ordered at Anfield.

Liverpool have a brilliant array of attacking talent, but, as things stand, they are lacking a backup for Mohamed Salah.

However, Chiesa fits that role perfectly, he’s a left footer who loves cutting in from the right, and he’s also very good in terms of both scoring and creating.

Of course, Salah will be the first name on the teamsheet more often than not, but with the Egyptian picking up a handful of injuries last season, having a competent backup for Salah is more important than ever.

Liverpool have a squad that is very well-rounded at the moment, but the addition of Chiesa will give the Reds that extra level of depth to take them to that next level.

Chiesa could be an incredibly inspired signing for Liverpool, and this one could get done in the next few days.
